পরিচ্ছেদঃ ১১৪: দাঁড়িয়ে পান করা
৩/৭৭৩। ইবনে ’উমার রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহুমা হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, ’রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর যুগে আমরা চলতে চলতে আহার করতাম এবং দাঁড়িয়ে পান করতাম।’ (তিরমিযী, হাসান সহীহ)[1]
(114) بَابُ بَيَانِ جَوَازِ الشُّرْبِ قَائِمًا
وَعَنِ ابنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُمَا، قَالَ: كُنَّا عَلَى عَهدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَأكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَمشِي، وَنَشْرَبُ ونَحْنُ قِيامٌ . رواه الترمذي، وقال: حديث حسن صحيح
(114) Chapter: Permission to Drink While Standing
Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
During the lifetime of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) we would eat while walking and would drink while standing.
[At- Tirmidhi].
Commentary: The Companions would not habitually eat something while being on the move and drink water in a standing position. In fact, the Hadith simply tells us that these were some moments in their life when they did so. The Ahadith that follow show that drinking in a standing posture is deprecated.
