পরিচ্ছেদঃ ১৯৩: ফরয নামাযসমূহের প্রতি যত্নবান হওয়ার নির্দেশ এবং তা ত্যাগ করা সম্বন্ধে কঠোর নিষেধ ও চরম হুমকি
৩/১০৮৩। উক্ত রাবী (আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে উমার) রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতেই বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, “লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে আমাকে ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত (সশস্ত্র) সংগ্রাম চালাবার আদেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে, যতক্ষণ না তারা এই সাক্ষ্য দেবে যে, ’আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য কোনো সত্য উপাস্য নেই এবং মুহাম্মদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আল্লাহর প্রেরিত মহাপুরুষ’ এবং নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করবে ও যাকাত আদায় করবে। সুতরাং যখনই তারা সেসব বাস্তবায়ন করবে, তখনই তারা ইসলামী হক ব্যতিরেকে নিজেদের জান-মাল আমার নিকট হতে বাঁচিয়ে নিবে। আর তাদের (আভ্যন্তরীণ বিষয়ের) হিসাব আল্লাহর দায়িত্বে থাকবে।” (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]
(193) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِالْمُحَافَظَةِ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَكْتُوْبَاتِوَالنَّهْيِ الْأَكِيْدِ وَالْوَعِيْدِ الشَّدِيْدِ فِيْ تَرْكِهِنَّ
وَعَنْه، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم: «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لاَ إِلٰهَ إلاَّ اللهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ، وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ، عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ، إلاَّ بِحَقِّ الإِسْلاَمِ، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ». متفقٌ عَلَيهِ
(193) Chapter: Strict Orders for Observance of Obligatory Salat
Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "I have been commanded to fight against the people till they testify La ilaha illAllah (There is no true god except Allah) and that Muhammad (ﷺ) is His slave and Messenger, and to establish As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and to pay Zakat; and if they do this, then their blood and property are secured except by the rights of Islam, and their accountability is left to Allah."

Commentary: This Hadith has already appeared before. Here the word "An-Nas'' translated `the people' in the Hadith stands for those who associate others with Allah in worship. The people of the Book are not included among them. "Haqqul-Islam'' translated here as "the rights of Islam'' denotes legal castigation, etc. That is, the punishments which are given for crimes like fornication, murder, etc."Their accountability is left to Allah" means what is hidden in their hearts is left to Allah or the crimes which go undetected by the authorities concerned are in the Purview of Allah, Who will decide their case in the Hereafter.
