পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৫৪: আল্লাহর ভয়ে এবং তাঁর সাক্ষাতের আনন্দে কান্না করার মাহাত্ম্য
১০/৪৬০। আবূ উমামাহ সুদাই ইবনে ’আজলান বাহেলী রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু কর্তৃক বর্ণিত, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’আল্লাহর নিকট দু’টি বিন্দু এবং দু’টি চিহ্ন অপেক্ষা কোনো বস্তু প্রিয় নয়।
(এক) ঐ অশ্রু বিন্দু যা আল্লাহর ভয়ে বের হয়
(দুই) ঐ রক্ত বিন্দু যা আল্লাহর পথে বইয়ে দেওয়া হয়।
পক্ষান্তরে দু’টি চিহ্ন হলঃ
(এক) ঐ চিহ্ন যা আল্লাহর পথে (জিহাদ করে) হয়
(দুই) আল্লাহর কোনো ফরয কাজ আদায় করে যে চিহ্ন (দাগ) পড়ে।’’ (তিরমিযী, হাসান) [1]
এ বিষয়ে আরো হাদীস রয়েছে। তার মধ্যে একটি ’ইরবায ইবনে সারিয়াহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু-এর হাদীস, ’একদা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আমাদেরকে এমন মর্মস্পর্শী বক্তৃতা শুনালেন যে, তাতে অন্তর ভীত হল এবং চোখ দিয়ে অশ্রু বয়ে গেল।’ যা ১৬১ নম্বরে অতিবাহিত হয়েছে।
بَابُ فَضْلِ الْبُكَاءِ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللهِ تَعَالٰى وَشَوْقًا إِلَيْهِ - (54)
وَعَن أَبي أُمَامَة صُدَيِّ بنِ عَجلاَنَ البَاهِلِي رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أحَبَّ إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى مِنْ قَطْرَتَيْنِ وَأثَرَيْنِ: قَطَرَةُ دُمُوعٍ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللهِ، وَقَطَرَةُ دَمٍ تُهَرَاقُ في سَبيلِ اللهِ. وَأَمَّا الأَثَرَانِ: فَأَثَرٌ فِي سَبيلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى، وَأَثَرٌ فِي فَرِيضَةٍ مِنْ فَرَائِضِ الله تَعَالَى . رواه الترمذي، وقال: حديثٌ حسنٌ حديث العْرباض بنِ ساريةَ . رضي اللَّه عنه ، قال : وعَظَنَا رسُول اللَّه صَلّى االلهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم مَوْعِظَةً وَجِلَتْ منها القُلُوبُ ، وذَرَفْت منْهَا العُيُونُ « . وقد سبق في باب النهي عن البدع
(54) Chapter: Excellence of Weeping out of Fear from Allah (swt)
Abu Umamah Sudaiy bin 'Ajlan Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Nothing is dearer to Allah than two drops and two marks: A drop of tears shed out of fear of Allah and a drop of blood shed in Allah's way. Regarding the two marks, they are: Marks left in the Cause of Allah and a mark left in observing one of the obligatory act of worship of Allah, the Exalted".

Commentary: This Hadith mentions the merits of the following:
1. Weeping out of fear of Allah.
2. The blood which flows in the way of Allah.
3. The marks of injuries which are left on the bodies of those who take part in Jihad.
4. The marks of wounds received in the performance of obligations.
The Ahadith on the subject are many.
Al-`Irbad bin Sariyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: One day Messenger of Allah (PBUH) delivered us a very eloquent Khutbah on account of which eyes shed tears and hearts became softened. [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary: Even in the relevant chapter, the author has only given a reference of this Hadith and not its full text. This has, however, been stated in chapter 16, bearing the title "Observing the Sunnah and the manners of its obedience".
