পরিচ্ছেদঃ ১৫৫: জানাযার নামায পড়া, জানাযার সাথে যাওয়া, তাকে কবরস্থ করার কাজে অংশ নেওয়ার মাহাত্ম্য এবং জানাযার সাথে মহিলাদের যাওয়া নিষেধ
১/৯৩৪। আবূ হুরাইরা রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’যে ব্যক্তি নামায পড়া পর্যন্ত জানাযায় উপস্থিত থাকবে, তার জন্য এক ক্বীরাত্ব সওয়াব রয়েছে। আর যে ব্যক্তি দাফন করা পর্যন্ত উপস্থিত থাকবে, তার জন্য দুই ক্বীরাত সওয়াব রয়েছে।’’ জিজ্ঞাসা করা হল, ’দুই ক্বীরাতের পরিমাণ কতটুকু?’ তিনি বললেন, ’’দুই বড় পাহাড়ের সমান।’’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]
(155) بَابُ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ وَتَشْيِيْعِهِ وَحُضُوْرِ دَفْنِهِوَكَرَاهَةِ اِتِّبَاعِ النِّسَاءِ الْجَنَائِزَ
عَن أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم: مَنْ شَهِدَ الجَنَازَةَ حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا، فَلَهُ قِيراطٌ، وَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قِيلَ: وَمَا القِيرَاطانِ ؟ قَالَ: مِثْلُ الجَبَلَيْنِ العَظِيمَيْنِ . متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ
(155) Chapter: Participation in Funeral Prayer and Procession and the dislike of Women Participating in the Funeral Procession
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whoever follows the funeral procession and offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a reward equal to one Qirat, and whoever attends it till burial, will get a reward equal to two Qirat.'' It was asked, "What are two Qirat?'' He (ﷺ) replied, "Equal to two huge mountains."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Commentary: Participation in a Muslim's funeral procession and prayer for him brings a Muslim a great reward - like the massiveness of a big mountain. And if he stays beside the grave till the burial takes place, the reward will become two-fold, that is, equaling the massiveness of two huge mountains.
