পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৪৬ : আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টির জন্য কারো সাথে ভালবাসা রাখার মাহাত্ম্য এবং তার প্রতি উৎসাহ প্রদান ও যে ব্যক্তি অন্য কাউকে ভালবাসে তাকে সে ব্যাপারে অবহিত করা ও কী বলে অবহিত করবে তার বিবরণ
আল্লাহ তা’আলা বলেন,
﴿مُّحَمَّدٞ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ أَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى ٱلۡكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ تَرَىٰهُمۡ رُكَّعٗا سُجَّدٗا يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَٰنٗاۖ سِيمَاهُمۡ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنۡ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمۡ فِي ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِۚ وَمَثَلُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡإِنجِيلِ كَزَرۡعٍ أَخۡرَجَ شَطَۡٔهُۥ فََٔازَرَهُۥ فَٱسۡتَغۡلَظَ فَٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِۦ يُعۡجِبُ ٱلزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ ٱلۡكُفَّارَۗ وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِنۡهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٗ وَأَجۡرًا عَظِيمَۢا ٢٩ ﴾ [الفتح: ٢٩] إِلَى آخر السورة
অর্থাৎ “মুহাম্মাদ আল্লাহর রাসূল; আর তার সহচরগণ কাফেরদের প্রতি কঠোর এবং নিজেদের মধ্যে পরস্পরের প্রতি সহানুভূতিশীল; তুমি তাদেরকে রুকু ও সিজদায় অবনত অবস্থায় আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও সন্তুষ্টি কামনা করতে দেখবে। তাদের মুখমণ্ডলে সিজদার চিহ্ন থাকবে, তাওরাতে তাদের বর্ণনা এরূপই। আর ইঞ্জীলে তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত একটি চারা গাছ, যা হতে নির্গত হয় কিশলয়, অতঃপর এটা শক্ত ও পুষ্ট হয় এবং দৃঢ়ভাবে কাণ্ডের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে যায়, যা চাষীদেরকে মুগ্ধ করে। এভাবে (আল্লাহ বিশ্বাসীদের সমৃদ্ধি দ্বারা) অবিশ্বাসীদের অন্তর্জ্বালা সৃষ্টি করেন। ওদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাস করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন ক্ষমা ও মহা পুরস্কারের।” (সূরা ফাত্হ ২৯ আয়াত)
তিনি আরো বলেন,
﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُو ٱلدَّارَ وَٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ يُحِبُّونَ مَنۡ هَاجَرَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِي صُدُورِهِمۡ حَاجَةٗ مِّمَّآ أُوتُواْ وَيُؤۡثِرُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ وَلَوۡ كَانَ بِهِمۡ خَصَاصَةٞۚ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ٩ ﴾ [الحشر: ٩]
অর্থাৎ “আর (মুহাজিরদের আগমনের) পূর্বে যারা এ নগরী (মদ্বীনা)তে বসবাস করেছে ও বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে তারা মুহাজিরদেরকে ভালবাসে।” (সূরা হাশ্র ৯ আয়াত)
১/৩৮০। আনাস রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু কর্তৃক বর্ণিত, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেন, ’’যার মধ্যে তিনটি গুণ থাকে, সে ঈমানের মিষ্টতা লাভ করে থাকে। আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূল তার কাছে অন্য সব কিছু থেকে অধিক প্রিয় হবে; কাউকে ভালোবাসলে কেবল আল্লাহ’র জন্যই ভালবাসবে। আর কুফরী থেকে তাকে আল্লাহর বাঁচানোর পর পুনরায় তাতে ফিরে যাওয়াকে এমন অপছন্দ করবে, যেমন সে নিজেকে আগুনে নিক্ষিপ্ত করাকে অপছন্দ করে।’’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]
بَابُ فَضْلِ الْحُبِّ فِي اللهِ وَالْحَثِّ عَلَيْهِ وَإِعْلاَمِ الرَّجُلِ مَنْ يُحِبُّهُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ، وَمَاذَا يَقُوْلُ لَهُ إِذَا أَعْلَمَهُ - (46)
وَعَن أَنَسٍ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «ثَلاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ بِهِنَّ حَلاوَةَ الإيمَانِ : أنْ يَكُونَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سَوَاهُمَا، وَأنْ يُحِبّ المَرْءَ لاَ يُحِبُّهُ إلاَّ للهِ، وَأَنْ يَكْرَهَ أنْ يَعُودَ في الكُفْرِ بَعْدَ أنْ أنْقَذَهُ الله مِنْهُ، كَمَا يَكْرَهُ أنْ يُقْذَفَ في النَّارِ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيهِ
(46) Chapter: Excellence and Etiquette of Sincere love for the sake of Allah
Allah, the Exalted, says:
"Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking bounty
from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e., of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurat (Torah). But their
description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers
with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe (i.e., all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds,
forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e., Jannah).'' (48:29)
"And those who, before them, had homes (in Al-Madinah) and had adopted the Faith, - love those who
emigrate to them...'' (59:9)

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There are three qualities whoever has them, will taste the sweetness of Iman: To love Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) more than anyone else; to love a slave (of Allah) only for (the sake of) Allah; and to abhor returning to infidelity after Allah has saved him from it as he would abhor to be thrown into the fire (of Hell)".

Commentary:
1. In this Hadith, the love of Allah signiffies the sweetness of Iman.
2. The love of Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) is the cornerstone of the Faith. When it is said that this love should exceed one's love for everything else in the universe, it means that what is enjoined by Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) must be given preference over everything else, whether it is love for the wife, children, worldly interests, desires or whims. When there is a clash between the two, the former should be given preference over the latter.
