পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৫২: আল্লাহর কাছে ভাল আশা রাখার মাহাত্ম্য
আল্লাহ তা’আলা (মূসা আলাইহিস সালাম-এর অনুসারী) এক নেক বান্দার ব্যাপারে সংবাদ দিয়ে বলেন,
﴿ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمۡرِيٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ ٤٤ فَوَقَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ سَئَِّاتِ مَا مَكَرُواْۖ ﴾ [غافر: ٤٤، ٤٥]
অর্থাৎ “আমি আমার ব্যাপার আল্লাহকে সোপর্দ করছি। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তাঁর দাসদের প্রতি সবিশেষ দৃষ্টি রাখেন। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে ওদের ষড়যন্ত্রের অনিষ্ট হতে রক্ষা করলেন এবং কঠিন শাস্তি ফিরআউন সম্প্রদায়কে গ্রাস করল।” (সূরা গাফির ৪৪-৪৫ আয়াত)
১/৪৪৫। আবূ হুরাইরাহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু থেকে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ’’আল্লাহ আয্যা অজাল্ল বলেন, ’আমি সেইরূপ, যেরূপ বান্দা আমার প্রতি ধারণা রাখে। আমি তার সাথে থাকি, যখন যে আমাকে স্মরণ করে। আল্লাহর কসম! নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তা’আলা তাঁর বান্দার তওবায় তোমাদের মধ্যে সেই ব্যক্তি অপেক্ষা বেশি খুশী হন, যে তার মরুভূমিতে হারিয়ে যাওয়া বাহন ফিরে পায়। আর যে ব্যক্তি আমার দিকে এক বিঘত পরিমাণ অগ্রসর হয়, আমি তার দিকে এক হাত পরিমাণ অগ্রসর হই। যে আমার দিকে এক হাত পরিমাণ অগ্রসর হয়, আমি তার দিকে দুই হাত পরিমাণ অগ্রসর হই। আর সে যখন আমার দিকে হেঁটে অগ্রসর হয়, আমি তখন তার দিকে দৌড়ে অগ্রসর হই।’’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]
بَابُ فَضْلِ الرَّجَاءِ - (52)
وَعَن أَبي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه، عَن رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «قَالَ اللهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ -: أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حَيْثُ يَذْكُرُنِي، وَاللهِ، للهُ أفْرَحُ بِتَوبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أحَدِكُمْ يَجِدُ ضَالَّتَهُ بالفَلاَةِ، وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إلَيَّ شِبْراً، تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعاً، وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعاً، تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعاً، وَإِذَا أقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ يَمْشِي أقْبَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ أُهَرْوِلُ ». متفقٌ عليه
(52) Chapter: Excellence of Good Hopes
Allah, the Exalted, says:
"(And the man who believed said:) `... and my affair I leave it to Allah. Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) slaves.' So Allah saved him from the evils that they plotted (against him)". (40:44,45)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks of Me when he remembers Me.' By Allah! Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than one of you who unexpectedly finds in the desert his lost camel. 'He who comes closer to Me one span, I come closer to him a cubit; and he who comes closer to Me a cubit, I come closer to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running".

Commentary: This Hadith highlights the merits of expecting good treatment of Allah. But this has to be backed by good actions, in the same way as one can hope for good results after ploughing and sowing seeds. It is obvious that one who accomplishes good deeds will expect good consequences, and one who does evil deeds will expect evil consequences. Allah will treat people according to their expectation that are founded on their actions, and the reward will match their deeds.
