লূক ১৪/১০ যীশু বলেন: ‘‘But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee: আপনি যখন দাওয়াত পাবেন তখন বরং সবচেয়ে নীচু জায়গায় গিয়ে বসবেন। তাহলে দাওয়াত-কর্তা এসে আপনাকে বলবেন, ‘বন্ধু, আরও ভাল জায়গায় গিয়ে বসুন।’ তখন অন্য সব মেহমানদের সামনে আপনি ইবাদত (ইংরেজি: worship, কেরি: গৌরব; কিতাবুল মোকাদ্দস: সম্মান) পাবেন।’’
