পরিচ্ছেদঃ ২৩০: প্রত্যেক মাসে তিনটি করে রোযা রাখা মুস্তাহাব, প্রতি মাসে শুক্ল পক্ষের ১৩,১৪ ও ১৫ তারিখে রোযা পালন করা উত্তম।। অন্য মতে ১২,১৩, ও ১৪ তারিখে। প্রথমোক্ত মতটিই প্রসিদ্ধ ও বিশুদ্ধ।
৪/১২৬৯। মুআযাহ আদাভিয়্যাহ কর্তৃক বর্ণিত, তিনি আয়েশা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহা কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, ’আল্লাহর রাসূল কি প্রতি মাসে তিনটি করে রোযা রাখতেন?’ তিনি বললেন, ’হ্যাঁ।’ আমি বললাম, ’মাসের কোন কোন দিনে রোযা রাখতেন?’ তিনি বললেন, ’মাসের যে কোন দিনে রোযা রাখতে তিনি পরোয়া করতেন না।’ (মুসলিম)[1]
(230) بَابُ اِسْتِحْبَابِ صَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِّنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَالْأَفْضَلُ صَوْمُهَا فِيْ أَيَّامِ الْبِيْضِ. وَهِيَ الثَّالِثَ عَشَرَ وَالرَّابِعَ عَشَرَ وَالْخَامِسَ عَشَرَ. وَقِيْلَ: الثَّانِيْ عَشَرَ وَالثَّالِثَ عَشَرَ وَالرَّابِعَ عَشَرَ، وَالصَّحِيْحُ الْمَشْهُوْرُ هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ.
وَعَنْ مُعَاذَةَ العَدَوِيَّةِ: أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ عَائِشَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهَا: أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصُومُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلاَثة أيَّامٍ ؟ قَالَت: نَعَمْ . فقلتُ: مِنْ أيِّ الشَّهْرِ كَانَ يَصُومُ ؟ قَالَت: لَمْ يَكُنْ يُبَالِي مِنْ أيِّ الشَّهْرِ يَصُومُ . رواه مسلم
(230) Chapter: The Desirability of Observing Three Days of Fasting in Every Month
Mu'adhah Al-'Adawiyah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
I asked 'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her). Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) use to observe three days of Saum (fasting) in every month?" She replied, "Yes." I asked, "On which days in the month did he observed fast?" She replied that he did not mind on which days of the month he observed fast.
[Muslim].
Commentary: This Hadith makes it clear that one can observe Saum on any three days of the month, and it is not necessary to fix these days. However, it is more meritorious to observe Saum on 13th, 14th and 15th of each lunar month because the Prophet (PBUH) has so ordained it. He himself also used to take special care of these dates and observe Saum on them, as is evident from the forthcoming Ahadith.
